Jay Z was raised in a housing project called Marcy Houses. He was raised by a single mother Gloria Carter, alongside three siblings after his father, Adnis Reeves left them. Jay Z first started schooling at Eli Whitney High School in Brooklyn alongside AZ the rapper. He later moved to George Westinghouse Career and Technical Education High School alongside Busta Rhymes, and The Notorious B.I.G.
